Join Oregon Coast 50K & 30K
One of the Oregon coast’s best-kept secrets is the neat and friendly little town of Yachats (ya-hots). Lying at the base of massive Cape Perpetua, Yachats offers the memorable scenery of a rugged and windswept land. People come here and to small, remote inns and B&Bs just south of town to get away from it all, which isn’t hard to do along this relatively undeveloped coast.
For a bit of Yachats’ history, visit the Little Log Church & Museum. Lining the town is the 804 coast trail, providing a lovely walk and access to tidepools and fabulous ocean vistas. It hooks up with the Amanda trail to the south, eventually arriving at Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. With that said, Oregon Coast 50k is the place to be.
Oregon Coast 50k is an epic destination race, where runners traverse along Central Oregon Coast. This race is apart of the Rainshadow Running Series.
Rainshadow Running Series provide some of the most beautiful and challenging trail ultras throughout the Northwest, Rainshadow Races will leave you wondering: Why run anywhere else? Whether you’re a Rainshadow veteran, or brand new to our race series, we’re glad you’ve found us here!
The 50k course starts by running 6 miles on the beach from Waldport to Yachats; from there both races run on trails (and a little bit of paved road) to Cape Perpetua. Both races do a loop (the 50k loop is about 9 miles and the 30k loop is about 6 miles) in Cape Perpetua before heading back to a seaside finish at The Adobe Resort in Yachats.

After Race Services
Post-race, we'll hang out at the finish line, lay in the sun-warmed grass with the ocean waves crashing into the rocks, drink tasty beverages, eat tasty, hot food, and listen to live music from The Pine Hearts.
Our races strive to use as few disposable products as possible, therefore our aid stations will have just a tiny amount of cups, we highly recommend that runners carry their own cup or bottle or other drinking vessel. We will have Ultra Aspire collapsible cups for sale at the race for $5 or you can buy one in advance online and pick it up at the race.
50k Runners who would like to have a drop bag, with special personal supplies such as specific foods/drinks or extra clothes, at the aid stations can do so and leave their bag/s, labeled with their name, bib number and Aid Station name at check-in. Many runners like to put dry shoes, socks and a towel in the Yachats drop bag so that way they don't have to run in the same wet, sandy shoes/socks as the ran in on the beach. 50k Drop bag locations are Yachats (mile 7) and Cape Perpetua (mile 14 & 24).
8 hour cut-off time.
Our aid stations always feature plenty of water, potato chips, PB&J, fresh fruit (oranges, bananas, grapes), chocolate/candy, GU gels and GU Brew, tortillas for gluten-free folks, and tasty Trail Butter inside those tortillas. We'll also have soda such as Coke and Ginger Ale.
