About Move-a-ThonTurks & Caicos Islands

Move-a-ThonTCI is a 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon event held in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands.  Participants can choose to walk, run or cycle.  Move-a-ThonTCI is a fundraising event for Nutrition in Demand, a nonprofit organization aimed at raising awareness to the importance of health and healthy eating.

Practicalities

Aid Stations

There will be an ambulance, traversing the course, with Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) on board. The Red Cross will also be available to offer any assistance to walkers/runners while on the course. Once you get back the to finish line, Cheshire Hall Medical Center will have a booth set up with doctors and nurses.

Maximum Time

To help the Move-a-thon TCI committee with planning and execution, runners will have a maximum of 6.5 hours to complete the course. Individuals on the course after the cut off time, will be offered a ride back to the finish line.

Parking

Parking is limited, so we recommend carpooling to the event.

Refreshments

Hydration stations/water stops will be set up along the route. At these stops, you will be able to get water and Powerade provided by Coca Cola. Timing

Yes, we have a professional race timing company coming in to provide computerized start and finishing times as well as computerized results.

Transport

There will be a complementary shuttle service to and from the event for all international runners. However, you will need to give the organizer advance notice and pick up service will be arranged.
