Join Millarville "Run To The Farmers' Market" Half Marathon

Join us mid June for one of our beautiful point-to-point Run to the Millarville Farmer’s Market events.

We start in nearby Black Diamond, run/walk through spectacular countryside in the Foothills of the Rockies and finally finish at the annual season-opening day of southern Alberta’s largest outdoor Market.

Course highlights

This is a beautiful, point-to-point course, starting in Black Diamond, heading south and then west through the beautiful Turner Valley golf course area, turning north on urban pathway that takes us into Turner Valley and then back towards Black Diamond. Finally, we’ll head out into the country, darting through breathtaking, big sky, prairie landscapes on Racetrack Road to finish at the Millarville Farmers’ Market as it opens for its 35th season.

Aside from brief, 100 foot gravelled stretches at KM 7.2 and another brief, less-than-2/10ths-of- a-km stretch at the finish, this run is entirely on regular pavement or “soft” pavement and/or paved pathways. Traffic will be eliminated or restricted on about 18.8 KM of the course.

You may see deer bounding beside you, there may be elk in the vicinity and you’ll see cows and horses along the way for sure. And, of course, as far as we can see, this is the only longer distance race in North America finishing at a large, fun-filled Farmers’ Market.
