Join La Ultra - The High
In 72 hours and 333 Km in length, La Ultra – The High takes you over three 17,500 ft +. high mountain passes of Ladakh a massive cold desert, part of The Great Himalayan mountain range in India. The region is as brutal as its is beautiful. It can make you experience 40 degree C heat and take you to Minus 12 C cold in matter of 6 hours.
Oxygen levels are 50 % of what you breath at sea level. You will touch altitudes of 17,500 feet 3 times in the 333 Km category, 2 times in 222 Km & once in the 111 Km category.
This is redefining the limits of human endurance, mental & physical. Only a few in the world of ultra running dare to take up this challenge. In the past 7 years, 76 runners from 24 different countries have participated and 41 have finished.
You can now also take part in a team relay format. A team of 3 can run the 111 Km distance in 20 hours in a total of 6 stages. This makes 2 stages per runner.
