The Kerry Way Ultra is a challenging endurance race set amidst the stunning landscapes of County Kerry, Ireland. Taking place annually, the event follows the renowned Kerry Way trail, spanning approximately 200 kilometers of rugged mountains, valleys, and coastlines. Runners face demanding terrain, significant elevation, and unpredictable Irish weather as they complete the course either solo or in relay teams. Known as Ireland’s premier ultramarathon, the Kerry Way Ultra attracts elite athletes and adventure enthusiasts from around the globe. The race combines breathtaking scenery, camaraderie, and true tests of physical and mental endurance, making it a highlight of the Irish ultrarunning calendar.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?

What is the early start?
The Early Start (6:00am start; 40h cut-off) will be non-competitive and is for those who want to enjoy the race without the pressure of going for a podium place while the Late Starters (10:00am start; 36h cut-off) have a reduced time on the course but have a chance of a podium place. The Late Starters will be ranked on their Finish time. The Early Starters will be ranked after the last Late Starter but will be given their actual time. Primal Tracking will show where everyone finishes across both waves after the event.
Mandatory gear
→ Full waterproof jacket and trousers → Head Torch with minimum 200 lumens and spare batteries → Paper route map → Fully charged mobile phone → Survival (bivy, foil) bag/blanket → Whistle → First Aid Kit (plasters, bandages, sterile dressing, laces etc.) → Gloves, Hat → Water and spare food → Green ribbon for 10am Start or Blue ribbon for 6am Start
