Held in the surroundings of Cangas de Onís, it brings together sport, adventure, and tourism in a single experience that attracts runners from across Spain and beyond.

The event offers several race categories designed for different levels of experience, from introductory routes for new trail runners to demanding mountain challenges that test strength, endurance, and technical skill. Each course takes participants through forests, open mountain terrain, and steep climbs, crossing the iconic Puente Romano and following the banks of the Sella and Dobra rivers.

More than a competition, the Kangas Mountain Trail is a celebration of trail running and natural beauty, turning every edition into a unique encounter between athletes, community, and the breathtaking landscapes of Asturias.

Original Trail
A 33-kilometer mid-mountain route with a cumulative elevation gain of almost 4,000 meters, covering forest trails, open scrubland, and firebreaks, delights trail running enthusiasts and serves as a key event in the Asturian mountain running calendar.
Calibrate Your Fitness
Departing from the center of Cangas de Onís, the route takes participants to Pico del Arbolín and then returns to Cangas de Onís, crossing the Sella River via the iconic Roman Bridge before heading toward the second major peak of the day: Colláu L'Andrin.
