Join In Flanders Fields-marathon 2026
The In Flanders Fields Marathon is a unique running event held in the historic Westhoek region of Flanders, Belgium. It takes participants through landscapes that were heavily affected by the First World War. The course passes numerous cemeteries, memorials, and battlefields, offering runners a powerful connection to history. One of the highlights is the passage near the famous First World War remembrance sites around Ypres. The marathon combines sporting achievement with reflection and commemoration. Runners from many countries participate, creating an international atmosphere of friendship and respect. The route is mostly flat, making it accessible to a wide range of marathon runners. The In Flanders Fields Marathon is therefore much more than a race; it is a moving journey through history and remembrance.
