Quick facts

Distance Ultra marathon - 50km

About Horseshoe Trail Run

Jack Brooks Park is known to have some of the toughest trails in Houston. This makes it a perfect venue to host the annual Horse Shoe Trail Run. The trails are mostly all single-track with a lot of short steep hills. Its very winding and off-camber seems to be the design intended. Watch out for some killer roots and poison ivy. These trails can be ridden by all skill levels but the newbies will find the hills to be pretty hard. Experienced runners will find it technical enough to keep your senses tuned. There are a few steam crossings and bridges are well maintained.
