Join HimalayanXtri Xtreme Triathlon 2026
HimalayanXtri is the Highest Triathlon in the World.
This race offers one of the most spectacular and unique journeys for a point-to-point triathlon in the world.
It starts with a 3.4km swim in a sub-tropical lake (800 metres above sea level, and with a water temperature of about 17-22 degrees Celcius). Nowhere can you swim at this temperature through the reflections of an 8,000-metre high mountain range - the famous Annapurnas.
The road bike course covers a challenging 165km across the Himalayas, with 3,800 metres of overall elevation gain, finishing at the course high point at 1,740 metres above sea level.
The trail run is like nothing else in triathlon as it will take you up through lush forest, and above through the clouds to the breath-taking views up close at 4,000 metres above sea level of the iconic Mt Fishtail and Annapurnas, before turning to descend to the finish at the traditional homestay village at Lwang at 1,400 metres above sea level.
NOTE: XTRI World Tour Long-Distance Races require a support person to accompany the athlete. Local Nepal support is available if necessary. Contact race team for information.
NOTE: Road Bike Hire is available.
NOTE: The race organiser can assist with car hire for race day, domestic transport, and also any tours or trekking extras of interest.
This is an XTRI World Tour Partner Race and so it has 4 slots for NORSEMAN and the XTRI World Championship available - 1st and 2nd male and female.
Every Finisher gains 200 X-Points to beat the ballots at NORSEMAN, Swissman, Celtman and ICON.
