The Exeter’s Great West Run takes an exciting 13.1-miles route through the heart of Exeter. This half marathon has it all; the energy of a city centre road race, combined with pretty country lanes and stunning views across Exeter. This is a celebration of Exeter and brings together runners, residents and businesses.
This popular half marathon gives runners an exciting new challenge for the autumn, taking in Exeter City Centre and the university, as well as the beautiful country lanes of St Andrews Road and on towards Stoke Woods.

What is your COVID-19 policy?
Although we cannot predict where we will be as a nation by May, we have put well thought out, flexible and responsive measures in place to ensure that the Great West Run 2021 is a COVID-secure event, as other events have already started to show is possible. We will do everything we can to ensure that the event will go ahead, but if COVID-19 stops this from happening we will be offering refunds or transfers to all runners.
