Starting on the National Closed Road Cycle Circuit, participants will weave through the park’s lush woodlands before heading out to the glorious Millennium Coastal Path. Half marathon runners will turn in the scenic village of Pwll, finishing back at Pembrey, while marathon runners continue to North Dock and past Machynys Golf Club—the first Nicklaus-designed course in Wales. With a flat profile (maximum elevation just 18m and only 110m total gain), this springtime race offers fantastic personal best potential. Course details
Runners will experience the park’s beautiful green spaces and woodlands before moving onto the stunning Millennium Coastal Path.
Half marathon participants will turn around at the coastal village of Pwll and return to the finish at Pembrey. Marathon runners will continue along the path, passing through North Dock and by the Machynys Golf Club—the first Nicklaus-designed golf course in Wales and a host venue for the European WPGA Championship.

How do I get to the race location?
By Car: If you’re travelling by car, please ensure you plan your journey to and from the event, and car share if possible. To avoid delays, please account for traffic when heading in and be aware there may be congestion upon entering Pembrey Country Park. The post code for the Park is SA16 0EJ. By Train: If you’re arriving by train, Llanelli station is on Great Western Crescent and is a 20 minute taxi ride to Pembrey Country Park (SA16 0EJ).
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
- If you withdraw voluntarily, there is no refund. - You may transfer your entry to another person or to a higher-value event until January 31, 2026. A transfer fee applies (£12 minimum plus admin charges); you pay any price difference for upgrading. No refunds are given for any transfers. - Deferrals for Injury/Medical/Pregnancy/Postpartum: If injured or with a medical condition, you can defer entry to the following year, with proof and a £30 deferral fee. Requests must be submitted by March 4, 2026. Pregnancy/postpartum deferrals follow the same procedure, valid for up to two years from entry. - All processing fees are non-refundable. - If the event is affected by major incidents (such as extreme weather, force majeure, emergencies, pandemics), it may be postponed, converted to a virtual event, or cancelled without refund. Organisers retain the right to change the event route, distance, or date as needed, with no liability for losses or refunds.
Can I run with headphones?
In line with Welsh Athletics rules, headphones are no longer permitted.
