Fogo Vulcan Trail is an annual running race located on the slopes of Fogo Volcano on the island of Fogo in Cabo Verde. This stunningly beautiful and challenging course follows a trail set by the Fogo Volcano National Park that takes runners around the peak of this amazing active volcano. The trail is a mix of single track trails, flowing jeep tracks, and wide open roads. A mixture of technical climbs, descents, and fast flat sections awaits the brave runners willing to take on the challenge. This is one race that will test your physical and mental strength! Cabo Verde Trail Series is a project to promote the practice of trail running, whose program includes several trail run events, namely, the Fogo Vulcan Trail, the Santo Antão Triangle Trail and the Trail d´Santiago.
