




Join Brisbane Marathon Festival 2023
The Brisbane City Botanic Gardens will be the main hub for the marathon, with the expo village, start and finish lines, and registration all taking place there. Brisbane Marathon runners will have a two-lap course to enjoy the sights of Brisbane, from the City Centre to the Story Bridge and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and New Farm. The event hub will be a lively place with running clubs, corporate teams, partners, and sponsors. Entertainment along the course as well as post-race activities at the Botanic Gardens will create an unforgettable experience for participants.

Frequently asked questions
When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Location: Event Precinct – City Botanic Gardens Date / Time: Friday 2 June, 1pm – 6pm Saturday 3 June, 9am – 4pm Strictly no bib collections on race day.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Transfers of distance will be subject to the availability of races.
Can I run with headphones?
Yes you are welcome to run with headphones, but please be mindful of volunteers, police and ambulance and other runners.
What are the cut off times?
42.2km – 6hr cut off – equivalent to a pace of 8min30/km 21.1km – 3hr cut off – equivalent to a pace of 8min30/km 10km – 2hr cut off – equivalent to a pace of 12min/km You are welcome to walk the 5km and 2km events, but please be mindful that roads will reopen at 12:00pm, with interim checkpoints.
What is the weather like in Brisbane?
Weather conditions are generally ideal for running with temperatures in the morning at 7 degrees and warming up to 22 degrees celsius during the day. Generally a low chance of rainfall.
