Join Arad Masada Half Marathon
Arad Masada Race – 20 hours of thrills, which begins long before the starting line and ends long after the finish. This year the race has undergone a facelift and offers a completely new single-track for those who choose the 17 km route!
The event begins towards sunset on Thursday in “Kfar Hanokdim”. In the heart of the valley between Arad and Masada, a one-time “running village” has been created that welcomes runners in a unique desert atmosphere. Here you can choose a place to leave your gear in large tents, eat a desert dinner, listen to a lecture on cross-country running with tea and coffee, receive the race briefing and enjoy a performance by Si Hyman along with dancing. Just don’t forget to get some sleep or rest before the early wake-up call.
4:45 – Wake up straight into a celebration of music and running. After the lively start from Kfar Hanokdim you run into the silence of the desert, into a powerful experience connecting to nature, to yourself and your personal challenge.
There are 3 heats: 11km competitive (named after Omar Rubinovich, who grew up in Arad and was killed in Operation Cast Lead); 5km walk; and for the first time a spectacular 17km single-track!
When all the runners arrive at the finish line beneath Masada, the Arad-Masada “rave” begins. Enjoy the music and the desert that is waking up, at a dance party that ends this exhilarating race.
