The Ultra Loop is an inclusive and flexible 8-hour running event with no limit on how far you can run. Within the 8 hours, you are encouraged to run as many loops as you can.
The mixed-terrain course combines roads and trails around a 5km loop and no matter how many loops you run, you receive a finishing time and medal.
The event takes place at Heaton Park in Manchester, UK where the route allows you to experience the park in full as you run by Boating Lake and Heaton Hall and explore the trails and streams of the woodland.

Foire Aux Questions
When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Event registration will begin onsite at 6.45am, where you will collect your race number, chip timing ankle strap and get familiar with the event village. There will be an event briefing at 8.30am followed by an instructor led warm-up at 8.45am before all runners will toe the line ready to start at 9.00am.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
You can defer your entry to a different event up to two weeks before the original event is due to take place.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees are non-refundable. In the case that an event is cancelled, postponed or delayed by Resolute Running, your entry will be carried forward to the new date or another event of your choice that has the same entry fee. Unfortunately, no refunds will be given due to the financial investment already made into the event.
Do I get a medal even if I don't run the full 8 hours?
Yes, every runner receives a medal no matter how many laps you run.
Is there a winner?
We acknowledge the leading distance run in the 8 hours as 'course records' but we do not consider there to be winners of this event. This is down the nature of the event and it's flexibility and inclusivity of all abilities of runners. We see The Ultra Loop as an individual challenge for each runner to achieve their own goals, rather than a competition.
Is there onsite parking?
There are pay and display car parks on the event site.
Can I wear headphones?
Headphones are allowed at this event as long as you remain aware of those around you and your surroundings at all times.
Where can I find my results after the event?
The results can be tracked live during the event via the 'Results' page on our website. The final results will then be available to view shortly after the event finishes.
What should I bring?
We would advise that all participants have the following: Clothing and kit to suit the weather of the day which may include waterproof layers and a change of clothes. March is often cold and wet, so please consider this when choosing your kit for the event. Your own water bottle. With sustainability in mind, we are operating on a bring your own bottle basis. We will have plenty of water for you to fill up your bottles, but we will not be providing cups at the aid station. Any participants who plan to run 4+ loops (20K+) should also consider the following in addition: Appropriate fuelling and hydration plans and in turn appropriate products and equipment such as a running vest and tried and tested hydration and fuelling products.
