From Glacier to Lake: From Oberwald to Le Bouveret in the canton of Valais, the SwissPeaks Trail will take place for the ninth time in 2025. This ultra-trail with varied routes from 700 km to the half-marathon offers incredible and unforgettable views of the highest peaks overlooking Valais and Lake Geneva. Spend an unforgettable festive week in the heart of the Alps. With seven trail routes from 21 to 700 kilometres, there is something for everyone.
Course details
SwissPeaks 380 Valais is open to you. From the glaciers to Lake Geneva, the myth is built kilometre after kilometre, through the most beautiful Alpine valleys. In the middle of the “4,000” of the Alps, on a route whose reputation is well established. Travel, enjoy these wonders that nature entrusts us. An Ultra-trail that is undoubtedly one of the most difficult in the world: a demanding, technical, capricious race.
SwissPeaks 170 The dream of any trailer, a long crossing through the most beautiful peaks and valleys. A Valais connection that will make you dream before, during and after the race. A departure at the bottom of the “20th century building site”, the dam of the Grande Dixence. You will then cross typical and isolated villages, walk through steep slopes, wild lakes… You will discover places that you can not even imagine exist.
SwissPeaks 100 From the last glaciers of the Rhone Valley towards Lake Geneva. On the route of the mythical 360 and through the Portes du Soleil, here is our route for experienced trail runners. The perfect challenge for those “quads” that don’t fear the most demanding sequences. For runners who want more, really more!
SwissPeaks 70 Exclusively created with our partner Région Dents du Midi. A selective and demanding route that will let you discover the most beautiful ridges and wild paths between the Dents du Midi and Lake Geneva.
SwissPeaks Marathon Varied trails around the border. Connect the mountains to the lake, from Morgins to Bouveret. “SwissPeaks-style Marathon”, in an invitation to escape, an adventure to live and share. Look up, enjoy those moments of happiness in the mountain.
SwissPeaks Half Marathon The only loop race of our SwissPeaks trail. Join the last kilometres of the mythical 360 via Saint-Gingolph and Novel. Experience the special atmosphere of our Trail Village as the start of your race! “Half-Marathon SwissPeaks”, is an invitation to escape, an an adventure to live and share. Look up, enjoy those moments of happiness in the mountain.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
- in Le Bouveret, Monday, August 25th 2025, from 5pm to 8pm. Each bib is given individually to each runner on presentation of: photo ID and your race bag and all mandatory equipment. (Detailed information will be published on the official website soon.)
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
No, you must collect your bib in person (you may be asked for proof of identity).
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
it is possible to change category until August 1ᵉʳ, 2025. No refunds will be made in the event that a person moves down a category. Otherwise, the person will have to pay the additional amount to arrive at the registration fee for his/her new category. After August 1ᵉʳ, 2025: no change of category or name will be possible.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
If a runner is unable to participate, he/she is authorized to transfer his/her race number to a person of his/her choice (modification possible until August 1ᵉʳ, 2025, after this date no more modifications will be accepted). In the event that the race is not full and you cannot find anyone to pick up your race number, the following rules apply: before December 31, 2024: 70% of the registration fee actually collected will be refunded. From January 1ᵉʳ to June 30, 2025: 40% of the registration fees actually collected will be refunded. After July 1ᵉʳ, 2025: no refund will be made. However, it is possible to change category until August 1ᵉʳ, 2025. No refunds will be made in the event that a person moves down a category. Otherwise, the person will have to pay the additional amount to arrive at the registration fee for his/her new category. After August 1ᵉʳ, 2025: no change of category or name will be possible.
What about items lost or found during the race?
Any item found during one of our races will be returned to Le Bouveret and will be available at the SwissPeaks stand. Please contact this stand by midday on Sunday 7 September at the latest to claim a lost item (if it has been returned to us). All unclaimed lost property will be destroyed the week after the race.
Are runners tracked by GPS?
Runners in the 700, 380 and 100 mile races are tracked by the GPS tracker from the company Trackmium. These are GPS devices that communicate over LTE networks. They weigh about 80 grams. They must be attached to the outside of the rucksack and returned on arrival. The provision of GPS tracking will not be visible to the public. However, a live tracking platform will allow you to follow the rankings as well as the evolution of the runners on the courses.
Is the route marked?
Yes, all the routes are signposted (except the first part of the 700, up to Oberwald). They are essentially marked with pennants. Not many ground marking. The pennants are equipped with reflectors for the night.
