Riders face a demanding 105-kilometer course with nearly 2,900 meters of elevation gain, traversing the rugged and scenic terrain of the Sierra Morena, which majestically surrounds the city of Córdoba. This route is renowned for its blend of swift tracks, technical single trails, and challenging climbs, offering both breathtaking vistas and a true test of skill, endurance, and determination. However, it’s more than an athletic challenge—the marathon is defined by its vibrant community spirit, the encouragement from crowds, and the sense of achievement earned with every pedal stroke through Andalucía’s wild landscapes. Course details
This 105 km loop offers a dynamic mix of fast-rolling dirt roads, rocky climbs, shaded forest trails, and panoramic descents across the Andalusian landscape.
With a total elevation gain of 1,900 m, the course challenges every rider’s endurance as well as their technical skills — but the rewards are spectacular views and the pure exhilaration of true mountain biking.
Along the way, riders follow historic trails and centuries-old paths once traveled by shepherds and wanderers, passing through landmarks such as:
🌿 Los Villares Natural Park, blanketed with dense oak and pine forests.
🏞️ The Arroyo Bejarano and Las Ermitas, two scenic icons near Córdoba.
⛰️ The high ridges of Sierra Morena, where riders enjoy sweeping vistas of the Guadalquivir valley and the city below.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
You can collect your bib number and race pack during the days leading up to the event at the following locations and times: 📍 El Arenal Fairground (Calle del Infierno, next to the start arch) 📅 Friday, March 20, 2026 🕓 10:30–20:00 To collect your bib, you must present: A valid ID card or passport. For minors, a signed parental authorization form and a copy of the guardian’s ID.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, another person may collect your race pack on your behalf. They must present the following documents at the pick-up point: A copy of your ID or passport. A signed authorization letter allowing them to collect your race pack.
How do I get to the race location?
The MTB Guzmán el Bueno 2026 takes place in Córdoba (Spain), with start and finish at El Arenal Fairground, a few minutes from the city center. ✈️ From Málaga Airport (AGP): 1h45 by car (A-45) or 1h by train from Málaga María Zambrano. ✈️ From Seville Airport (SVQ): 1h30 by car (A-4) or 45 min by high-speed train from Santa Justa Station. ✈️ From Madrid Airport (MAD): 4h by car (A-4) or 1h40 by AVE train from Atocha Station. Once in Córdoba, the venue is easily accessible by car, taxi, or bus. 📍 Location: El Arenal Fairground, Calle del Infierno, Córdoba.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Cancellations will only be accepted until December 31 of the year prior to the event, with the right to a 50% refund of the registration fee. From January 1 onwards, no refunds will be issued for voluntary withdrawal, regardless of the reason.
Is the race open to e-bikes?
Yes, e-bikes are allowed in a separate non-competitive category.
Is there mechanical or medical assistance during the race?
Yes, mechanical and medical assistance will be available along the route and at the finish area.
