The Charaideo Maidam Heritage RunSafari is a unique running event designed to celebrate the UNESCO heritage glory of Assam, set against the historic backdrop of Charaideo Maidam in Sivasagar. Organized on the eve of India Tourism Day (January 25, 2025), this event combines the spirit of heritage tourism with the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
Runners will experience the cultural richness of the region as they navigate through a scenic course around the ancient burial mounds of Charaideo, an iconic symbol of Assam's heritage. The event offers participants three race categories—21KM, 10KM, and 5KM—on a looped 10.5 KM track.
All participants will receive a premium Dry-Fit T-shirt, medal, goody bag, race bib, and post-race refreshments, along with hydration support on the route. In addition, e-certificates will be awarded to all finishers. Top finishers in the 21KM and 10KM races will receive trophies, with special age-group awards for participants aged 50+ and 60+, based on category sizes.
The Charaideo Maidam Heritage RunSafari is more than just a race—it's a celebration of Assam’s vibrant history, tourism, and wellness.
