Haldon Night
Join Haldon Night 2025
Our popular night trail races return to Haldon Forest. There’s a single loop 10K course and a 5K course. Both races this year start & finish at the Start/Finish arch. Both routes have been tweaked to bring them in at just over the official distances. There are prizes for overall & category winners plus prizes for the best hats (we decided with the new Jan date full fancy dress was a bit ott)
For the children we offer a fun one lap 1K race (3-7 yrs) or a two lap 2K race for slightly older children aged 8-11.
For all kids races we are happy for adults to run with them for no additional charge. Head torches or chest torches will be needed.
There is plenty of parking but you do need to pay for it..

Frequently asked questions
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
Sorry, we are not able to offer refunds as we start to incur costs as soon as we announce an event. However we now offer free name changes up to 7 days before an event with our booking software Eventrac and the chance to transfer yourself to a different event.
What kit do I need for a night run?
We recommend trail shoes for all our night runs. You should also wear a hi-viz top or vest so you can be seen on any road sections or crossings. Bring warm clothing to change into afterwards. And of course you'll need a suitable head or chest torch.
Do I need a headtorch?
For our night runs you need a suitable headtorch. Chest mounted torches are also acceptable.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day?
Organisers reserve the right to change, shorten or even cancel the races in the event of extreme bad weather. However we will do all we can to go ahead and so far we have never cancelled a triathlon or duathlon (despite some challenging conditions)
