Join Crossing Switzerland 2026
The 3rd edition of crossing Switzerland will take place from Sunday 19 July until Sunday 26 July 2026.
A unique adventure crossing Switzerland from east to west passing some of the most iconic alpine places the country has to offer. Clear blue lakes, snow-covered peaks, cosy mountain villages, the best volunteers and spectacular postcard views.
The registrations are open. Participate in the Solo race, as a Duo or in the Ekiden (relay), the opportunity to experience an Ultra Trail adventure with your friends or teammates in 10 challenging sections.
Crossing Switzerland is about adventure, (new) friendships, discovery, and about challenging yourself to the max. Our after movie 2024 is showing what we believe an Ultra Trail is all about. Course details
An exceptional ultra-trail through magnificent landscapes: starting in Eastern Switzerland, in the heart of Heidiland, the route will take you to some of the country’s most iconic alpine sites: Engelberg and the Titlis, Grindelwald and the North Face of the Eiger, Lauterbrunnen and the famous Staubbach waterfall, as well as the wonderful Oeschinensee. From east to west you will cross the Swiss Alps, from the banks of the Rhine to the shores of Lake Geneva. After setting off through the Tamina Gorge, the course quickly rises towards the Pizol massif and its alpine lakes.
You will cross 7 Swiss cantons, each renowned for the beauty of its landscapes, and be warmly welcomed by our fantastic team of volunteers at around twenty refreshment stations.
After nearly 400 kilometers, you will reach the “Pearl of the Riviera,” Montreux—because, as Deep Purple once sang, “They All Came Out to Montreux.” At this long-awaited finish line, another music icon, Freddie Mercury, will greet you through the presence of his statue.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Saturday 18 July, Sunday 19 July 2026 in Bad Ragaz only. Exact time and place will be communicated soon.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
No form of refund will be granted if the participant has not subscribed to the cancellation insurance. Any refund request must be submitted, along with the medical certificate, no later than 10 days after the event. Requests are processed within three months following the race.
Mandatory equipment
Water reserve (1 litre minimum), waterproof jacket with a hood (10’000 mm/h), headlamp with spare batteries, spare headlamp, personal beaker, survival blanket, whistle, food reserve, long running trousers (leggings or a combination of leggings and long socks allowed), warm long-sleeved shirt (arm sleeves allowed), mobile phone working in Switzerland turned on.
