The only race that allows you to run on the natural and cultural jewel of the Angkor temples, UNESCO World Heritage Site. The only ultra event in Cambodia! Approved by the Ministry of Culture, and the Cambodian National Olympic Committee.
Angkor, located in the northern Cambodian province of Siem Reap, is one of the main archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. The Temples of Angkor – the soul of the Khmer Kingdom, serve as national pride and source of inspiration to the Cambodians. Its beauty has always fascinated travellers from around the world.
The eigth edition of the event offers 8 different formats: 100km, 64km, 42km, 32km, 16km, 8km trail races, as well as 16km hiking and walking and 16km Nordic walking.
Participants will experience an extraordinary adventure that will surely be hard to forget!
Course details
This 100 km long Ultra-Trail® is tracked on a setting that European runners may not be used to. Hence, it will most certainly thrill you, alongside the breath-taking landscapes and diverse setting. You will surely be amazed by the natural richness of Cambodia. However, please note that the changes in the course, with various crossings of sandy paths and rice fields, require adequate preparation.
The 64 km trail will track through wilderness routes, rice fields, as well as amazingly beautiful and natural environments. Nevertheless, not forgetting about the crossings of small villages, alongside the magnificent backdrop of the Angkor Temples.
This 42.195 km Marathon Trail and 32Km will be running on a track, through rice fields and beautiful nature without forgetting the crossing of a multitude of small villages with the Angkor Temples as a background.
The 18 km Angkor Temple Run takes place entirely at the Angkor archaeological site in the northern Cambodian province of Siem Reap. During the 18 km run, you will take the same kilometers as the other races in the program.
This Angkor Ultra-Trail is also open to Nordic walking. This exercise is an outdoor sport consisting of accelerated walking with specific walking sticks – usually made of composite material.
We would like to inform you that this walk and hike will take place in the same course as that of the runners. This is to guarantee that you will not miss out on any of the fun! Immerse yourself in these beautiful traces and savor every moment. Here, you will discover Angkor in its diversity: its village crossings, rice paddies, jungles, temples overrun by the roots of Kapok trees, and much more.
This course will start from the Elephant Terrace and then go deep into the jungle, zigzagging from one single to another in a luxuriant nature.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
The numbercollection will take place fortwo days at the Angkor Paradise Hotelin Siem Reap. Address: National Road No 6.–Thursday 16thJanuary from 10:00am to 7:00pmand Friday 17thJanuary 2025from 09:00amto 8:00pm
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes, but your friend will have to present an authorization letter from you with a copy of your ID/passport and your medical certificate/license.
Is the medical certificate mandatory for the races?
YES, it is mandatory and you will have to present it at the bib distribution site. Participation in the races is subject to the presentation of a valid license - proving the possession of a medical certificate that authorizes the participant to the competitive practice. For runners who do not have a license, they must present a medical certificate and dated less than one year from the event (preferably by a sport specialized doctor).
Is the entrance fee to the archaeological site included in your bib?
YES, The price of the race number includes entry to the Angkor archaeological site. A 2-day pass (on 18th –19thJanuary 2025) is given to each competitor. However, this pass does not give access to the temple visits.The price of the race number also includes a humanitarian endowment to NGOs
Are vehicles planned to transport participants to the Elephant Terrace ?
➢Only participants who have opted for the tourist programs or the race package will benefit from free shuttles. ➢Only participants registered for the Bayon Trail 64 and the UTA 100 will benefit from the free shuttles. An identification bracelet for the shuttles will be given to them at the bibs delivery.
How early before the start do we have to be ready on site?
Runners/walkers will have to be on the start lines(Elephant Terrace)at least 30 minutes before the departure for the pre-racebriefing.In case you are late, you will have 30 minutes after the official start to take your start but your delay will not be deducted from your arrival time. After 30 minutes, the runner will not be able to be ranked and will be disqualified.
Is there mandatory material for the race?
Yes, you need to check the Regulations and Principlesof the event.
Is there transportation to get the runners to each start line?
YES,shuttles will be at your disposal. You will reach the start after your race briefing. Depending on the race option chosen, 42, 32, or 18 km, expect a 20′ to 40′ transfer.We remind you that only the runners of the UTA 100, the Bayon Trail 64 and the Elephant Trail 8 km will start from the Elephant Terrace. For all other events, runnerswill be transported by minibus to theirrespective starting points, at a distance of 42 km from the finish line for the marathon, 32 km from the finish line for the Jungle Trail and 18 km from the finish line for the Temple.
