Join Padova Marathon
Padova Marathon was set up in 2000 to celebrate the Giubileum, under the original name of ‘Maratona di Sant’Antonio’. The popularity of the event has been growing through the years, making Padova Marathon one of the main competitive races in Italy in terms of participants and for its technical level. The first race was held in April 2000, under the name of ‘Maratona di Sant’Antonio’: it started in Vedelago and finished in Prato della Valle. The race has been held every spring since. In 2009 the Half Marathon was introduced, from Camposanpiero to Prato della Valle and in 2011 the Marathon race course saw its first amendment, with its start line set in Campodarsego.
Since its first edition the Padova Marathon has been organized by the sport society Assindustria Sport Padova, which since 1986 is the organizer of the international top athletic meeting ‘Meeting Citta’ di Padova’. Thanks to this hands-on experience on the world of international athletics, the organizing team offered all athletes high-quality services and support along the entire race course, to make them enjoy the race at its best. Care and attention for every detail, the thought support of running professionals, the attention to each single runner are certainly key ingredients of the recipe for making Padova Marathon such a unique event.
The true heart of Padova Marathon is the large and supportive team of volunteers - that every year work hard to make the event possible – and its passionate public, cheering runners on to the finish line.
