Helsinki City Running Day is Finland’s largest and most celebrated running event, uniting 20,000 runners from over 90 nations. Centered around the iconic Helsinki Olympic Stadium, this event offers something for everyone, from Finland’s largest half marathon, the OP Uusimaa Helsinki City Half, to the legendary Saucony Helsinki City Marathon. Participants can also choose from the marathon relay, the Helsinki City 5, and the unique Helsinki City Double, combining the marathon and half marathon for the ultimate challenge. The festivities kick off on Friday afternoon with the Minimarathon, followed by the Helsinki City 5, ensuring a weekend packed with energy, community spirit, and exciting races.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Location: Helsinki Olympic Stadium (address: Paavo Nurmen tie 1, Helsinki) -2 floor Date: - Friday May 15th: 08:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. (08:00-20:00)- Saturday May 16th: 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (7.30-18.30) Expo is open until 3 p.m. Each runner picks up the bib number from the race office no later than 1 hour prior to the start time. The bib number can be collected by showing a QR code. The QR code will be sent about a week before the event by email and a few days before the event by text message. When you arrive at the race office, take out the QR code message well in advance.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
Yes. Just provide your qr-code to the person who is collecting your race pack.
How do I get to the race location?
If you are using public transportation, please check the timetables and routes at HSL's website (hsl. fi/en).
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes. If you have already registered for the event, and would like to change your distance, please send an e-mail. You will then receive instructions on how to pay the price difference between the events (if you change to a longer distance). In case you like to change to a shorter distance (less expensive distance), we will not refund you for the price difference. You can do the change for a shorter distance yourself, by logging in to your profile, until race week’s Thursday. After that, all changes are made at the race office.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Non-refundable. If you have bought the Mysafety Cancellation insurance, you may apply for compensation (the link is in our website's info section).
How do I collect my event t-shirt? How do I know if the t-shirt included in my entry?
If you have registered before June 18, 2025, the t-shirt is automatically included in the price. After this, the t-shirt can be purchased during registration or later in the entry profile. The information if the t-shirt is included will be printed on the bib number. You can also see the info in your entry profile (Shirt: Yes / No) and in the email that will be sent to you approx. 1 week before the event. Your event t-shirt needs to be collected from the race office after the bib number pick up.
Can a team consist of three or five runners?
Yes, a team can consist of three runners, meaning that one runner has to run two legs in a row. A team cannot consist of five runners, as four is the maximum number of allowed runners per team. Teams with less than four runners are not obliged to inform the event organiser about the matter.
Can I change a team member or change the order of the runners? And how?
Yes. The team’s contact person can change team members or the order of the team members/runners through the team’s entry profile.
