Set within the magnificent UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere, Dyfi X covers a breathtaking 17km route on the periphery of Snowdonia National Park. Participants will face a total of 3.5km swimming and 13.5km running, strategically divided between six swims and seven runs.
For almost 80 years, the Dyfi Estuary has been instrumental in fostering resilience, teamwork, and leadership abilities in young individuals. This has been achieved through engaging them in thrilling wild adventures with The Outward Bound Trust. Drawing inspiration from this rich history and the Outward Bound spirit, the Dyfi X Swimrun event adopts the original race format from ÖTILLÖ.
Course details
This stunning course includes spectacular swimming and superb trail running along the Wales Coast Path.
Total: 12km
Each lap has a total of 1.3km of running and 700m of swimming.
Run 1: 280m
Swim 1: 520m
Run 2: 900m
Swim 2: 180m
Run 3: 120m
