About Utah Valley Marathon

The Utah Valley Marathon (UVM) is an annual marathon foot-race in Northern Utah held on the second Saturday of June. The marathon course is USA Track & Field (USATF) certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. It is also part of the Utah Grand Slam.

The green natural beauty of the Utah Valley, which has been the home over the centuries to Native Americans, Spanish explorers, rugged mountain men and even U.S. troops back in the mid-1800s, serves as the setting for the long, sloping downhill route at the Utah Valley Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K.

Proceeds from the race go to benefit a pair of charities: Children with Cancer Christmas Foundation and CharityVision, which provides medical equipment and supplies to physicians working to restore sight to patients in the developing world.
