Trakai Triathlon is the largest triathlon event in Lithuania welcomes participants eager to tackle all three disciplines—swimming, cycling, and running—individually. It also nurtures strong team spirit through Sprint and Super Sprint relay races, where each member of a three-person team excels in their speciality: one swims, another cycles, and the third runs.
Trakai is a historic city and lake resort located 28 km west of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Renowned for its famous castle on the water and its proximity to Vilnius, Trakai is a popular tourist destination.
Often referred to as a town built on water, Trakai is surrounded by several lakes, including Luka (Bernardinai), Totoriškės, Galvė, Akmena, and Gilušis. The town boasts numerous architectural, cultural, and historical monuments, with the history museum in the castle established in 1962.
Each year, more than 400 participants, including both professionals and sports enthusiasts, take part in the “Skaylink Trakai Triathlon.” This event offers participants the chance to test their individual abilities in three different disciplines: swimming, cycling, and running. The relay portion is perfect for fostering team spirit, allowing three team members to each excel in their respective events, be it swimming, cycling, or running.
