Welcome to Kaunas International Marathon - the biggest running event in Kaunas. We are proud of our long history, record beating runners as well as creating a supporting and friendly community for all running enthusiasts. Whether you’re beating the marathon record or your personal best at 5 km - we’re here to help, support and make sure you do your best while having a great time!
Kaunas Marathon offers a unique course that starts and ends at the very heart of Kaunas city - City Hall. The track is certified by IAAF and AIMS and is one of the flattest courses in Europe. Also you’ll be able to run through Kaunas historic old town dating back to the 14th century, our beautiful riverside as well as some modern and impressive wall art. All along the course you will find refreshments as well as our volunteers always ready to help and provide support or a much needed cheer.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
- Early Bib number pickup on April 23-24th. 11am - 7pm near business center “Magnum” (Karaliaus Mindaugo av. 38). - Bib number pickup at the day of the event, April 25th, from 6 am. in the race information center near "Magnum" business centre (Karaliaus Mindaugo av. 38). The number pick-up will be closed 15 minutes before the start of each distance. 6am - 8:30am Bib numbers will be provided only for marathon (42km) and half-marathon (21km) participants, other distances Bib number pickup will start at 8:30am.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
If the participant wishes to choose the longer distance, he/she must cover the entry fee difference, which applies to the valid distance entry fee, charged on the swap day. In addition, 10 EUR swap fee is also charged.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Registration fee is nonrefundable and cannot be passed to other participants. All the participants compete in this event at their own free will and risk (including various health issues etc.). Participants have no obligations to express any complaints for the event organizers, related with their experienced health issues during the event and after it.
Can I run more than one distance?
Yes, you may participate in as many distances as you wish, provided you register separately for each one.
How will water be distributed? Will there be snacks at the stations?
Water will be served in cups. Fruit will also be available at the stations.
Is it allowed to run with headphones?
No, participants are prohibited from using musical devices and equipment that limit the participant's hearing on the course.
Will there be pacers for the half-marathon course?
There will not be separate pacers for the half-marathon. You may use the marathon pacers, as the course overlaps.
Will there be traffic restrictions?
Yes.
Is it allowed to run without a shirt during the marathon?
No, all participants must wear a race number securely attached to the front of their shirt. The number includes an electronic chip for timing. If the number is not properly attached or is missing, the participant’s time will not be recorded, and they will not appear in the official results.
