North Hills (4523 Six Forks Road Raleigh, NC)

Raleigh has received numerous accolades in the recent years, including being named “America’s Best City” by and one of “America’s Coolest Towns” by GQ. Take in a Carolina Hurricanes game, visit the North Carolina Museum of Art, and enjoy a variety of amenities at North Hills, located in the heart of Midtown Raleigh, where the race will start and finish. North Hills is home to hotels, premier dining establishments, high-end boutiques, department stores, cafes, spas, and bars. Amenities are conveniently located next to the start and finish line.

Start and finish line at North Hills, as the race starting line lies just off Six Forks Road and Rowan Street. From there, runners head west and north along Gates Street and Northbrook Drive, and turn for a short stretch along North Hills Drive before jumping onto the trails.

Here’s where the race — which has a new course that eliminates the notorious “Lassiter Hill” at the finish line from the past couple of years — gets really interesting. The route turns first onto the Crabtree Creek Greenway and Mine Creek Greenway, which have plentiful shade and flat terrain throughout.
