Join Destin Beach Ultra Runs
Stunning white beaches, challenging golf and world-famous fishing define the Emerald Coast city of Destin. Snuggled against the Gulf of Mexico in northwest Florida, Destin is rightfully famed for its sugar-white sands and emerald-hued waters. Beaches are extremely fine and soft.
It is this beautiful location that forms the background for the Destin Beach Ultras, which have been described as "World’s Longest Beach Run".
Love running in the sand? Love running along the coast? This race is for you. The event features 100 mile, 50 mile, 50k, 24 hour and relay options.
50K starts with a short .5 mile run to the west, followed by 15.5 miles to the east and then back 15 miles to the finish (31 miles).
24 hour: 1 mile out and back (2 mile round trip) along the water front. It is all sand.
The 50 mile runs 15 miles to the east along the beach, back to the start/finish and then 10 miles to the west and back to the start finish.
100 mile entrants will run as many miles as possible on the 2 mile loop with the 24hr runners.
