Waterford Viking Marathon

The WLR Waterford Viking Marathon will take place in Waterford, Ireland.
The four running events, Full, Half, Quarter and Relay Marathon will all commence together in the heart of this historic Viking City.
The route will then take runners over its’ two infamous bridges, Rice Bridge in the City and the iconic Thomas Francis Meagher Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Ireland, followed by a run along the spectacular Waterford Greenway and the stunning Mount Congreve Gardens. All the while musicians and DJ’s entertain and distract runners along the way! An impressive 250 helpers will line the road race route, with marshals, water stations and medical personnel ensuring the safe return of all runners to this years’ family fun finish line event in the state-of-the-art WIT Arena, the largest sports, conference and events centre in the South East. It promises to be another fantastic day for Waterford and all who visit.
