The upcoming Tróia Swimrun 2nd edition will now serve as a qualifying event for the European myswimrunchampionships circuit. Additionally, it will continue to offer the exciting "Swimrun Kids" format, providing younger individuals with an opportunity to engage in our sport and enjoy this incredible experience alongside our esteemed partners.
Nestled in a breathtaking natural beauty spot, the Tróia Peninsula boasts an unparalleled stretch of golden shoreline measuring approximately 17 km in length and 1.5 km in width. This pristine location is embraced by a serene blue sea and the majestic River Sado, making it an ideal destination to introduce our sport.
The entire panorama of this place is absolutely awe-inspiring, showcasing expansive beaches, untouched sand dunes, and the captivating Caldeira lagoon nestled within the heart of the Sado estuary. These impressive sights are further enhanced by the presence of ancient Roman ruins, a testament to centuries gone by, and an enchanting natural habitat for dolphins in the southern sea. All of this natural splendor is complemented by the grand presence of the majestic Serra da Arrábida, forming a stunning backdrop to it all.
