What is The Green Man Ultra?
The Green Man Ultra is an endurance race featuring a 30 or 45-mile loop around Bristol, showcasing the scenic Community Forest Path. Organized by Ultra Running Limited, the event includes four well-stocked checkpoints, chip timing, and pacers available for 9, 10, 11, and 12-hour completions.
Held twice yearly, the race provides distinct experiences with a winter and a summer edition. The winter run presents muddy and challenging conditions, while the summer offers firmer ground for a faster pace. To add variety, each edition is run in opposite directions to the other. The winter race kicks off at 7:00 AM for the GMU45 and 10:00 AM for the GMU30.

The Winter Green Man Ultra 45 is a full anti-clockwise loop of the Community Forest Path, starting and finishing at Ashton Park School just outside the centre of Bristol.
The Winter Green Man Ultra 30
Location: The Lock Keepers, Keynsham
The Winter Green Man Ultra 30 (affectionately known as The Green Boy) is a partial anti-clockwise loop of the Community Forest Path, starting in Keynsham at checkpoint two of the 45 mile route and finishing at Ashton Park School just outside the centre of Bristol. Other than the start time, distance and location, all information for the 45 mile event is also relevant for the 30 mile event.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees for all URL events are NON REFUNDABLE under any circumstance. Should circumstances dictate, or in the interest of safety, the organisers reserve the right to make such changes to the published event routes as may be deemed necessary at their absolute discretion. In the event of a force majeure, we the organisers reserve the right to a) reschedule or if this is not possible b) cancel the event. This will, in all cases be a last resort. Places can be deferred to the next edition of the event (an additional cost of £15 is charged), where the event is more than four weeks away. After this point, this option is no longer available. In special circumstances, the organisers may be able to transfer names of individuals to another events, at the organisers' discretion. Transfers can be requested by email up to 4 weeks before the event. No runner is permitted to enter or participate using another persons details.
Mandatory Kit List
Competitors must be self-sufficient, and carry the following mandatory items: - Backpack or equivalent - Head Torch with spare batteries - Ordnance Survey Maps 155 & 167 (a printed version of our downloadable direction booklet is fine) - Compass or GPS device - Whistle - Mobile phone - Emergency food consisting of a chocolate bar, Mars or similar - First Aid Kit
