Serengeti Anti-Poaching Run
Join Serengeti Anti-Poaching Run 2026
The Serengeti Anti-Poaching Run is a purpose-driven endurance event on the edge of the Serengeti ecosystem. The course runs along open murram roads across exposed savanna, where dust, heat, and wildlife shape the challenge. This is not a closed-city race—expect wide horizons, light traffic, and a direct connection to the land you are running for. All proceeds support anti-poaching initiatives and long-term conservation of the Serengeti ecosystem for future generations. The race atmosphere is grounded and authentic, shaped by local communities, conservation teams, and runners who come with clear intent.
The Anti-Poaching Run event takes place within the Serengeti ecosystem, involving part of the Serengeti National Park, Ikorongo and Grumeti game reserves, as well as the Ikona WMA- community wildlife management area. The race involves hundreds of participants from inside and outside Tanzania, conservation and tourism enthusiasts and stakeholders mostly being runners and spectators.
The main goal of this race will continue to be to raise awareness for the better conservation of the Serengeti ecosystem, to combat illegal hunting, as well as to collect donations and various items to support the Anti-poaching patrols.
