The Salzburg Marathon offers pure running pleasure in the city of Mozart. The flat and fast course leads you through the most beautiful places of the city. The Salzburg Marathon combines the best of two worlds with some iconic sights of this historical city ranging from medieval to baroque buildings and green and tranquil countryside mixed into one 21 km loop. All this with magnificent, snowy Eastern Alps in the backdrop. Marathoners can enjoy it all twice! The Salzburg Marathon has a great atmosphere with plenty of friendly spectators in the city and multiple music and cheering points along the course.

Pick up your race documents at the SportMall in the Volksgarten Ice Arena – Hermann-Bahr-Promenade 2, 5020 Salzburg. Friday, May 15, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Can someone collect my race pack for me?
No, every participant has to collect his/her race bag including the bib number personally.
How do I get to the race location?
We recommend traveling to Salzburg by public transport – relaxed, sustainable, and sporty! Excellent train connections from the Westbahn line (from Vienna), the Tauern line (south), and from Bavaria and Tyrol. Good connections to the international airports in Vienna and Munich. International accessibility via Salzburg Airport. If you're arriving by car, we recommend using the Park & Ride zones at the start and transferring to the trolleybus within the city limits. Paid parking garages (e.g., Mönchsberggarage) are available near the city center.
