The Ningyuan Jiuyi Mountain Marathon takes runners through the cultural and natural treasures of Ningyuan County, Hunan, China. The race offers full marathon, half marathon, and a 4 km fun run, welcoming both seasoned runners and beginners.
Along the route and during your stay, you can explore Shundi Mausoleum Scenic Area, the resting place of Emperor Shun—one of China’s legendary sage kings—and Ningyuan Confucian Temple, the second largest Confucius temple in China, steeped in history and tradition.
All participants enjoy free access to scenic spots across Ningyuan, making the event not only a race but also a journey through heritage, culture, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. With the majestic Jiuyi Mountains as your backdrop, every stride brings you closer to the essence of China’s timeless beauty.
