Un trail au cœur de l’Europe !
En 2023, la course nature la plus populaire de Bruxelles se renouvelle. Nouvelles distances. Nouveaux parcours. Ceux-ci restent roulants mais ils gagnent en magnificence avec une succession de très beaux « single tracks ». Trois distances sont au programme des trailers ou marcheurs : 10km, 26km et 52km. Sans oublier le Run&Bike, par équipes de deux, sur 32km, mis sur pied avec un nouveau mode de navigation pour éviter les interférences avec les autres parcours.
Autre innovation pour 2023. Le MMTB revient à sa formule pré-pandémie en proposant à l’ensemble des participants un petit buffet d’après course (soupe, pain, fruits etc.) récréant ainsi cet esprit de convivialité qui compte presqu’autant que l’effort dans la réussite de la journée.
Autre nouveauté. Cette année, le MMTB intègre un tout nouveau tour européen, baptisé des initiales TTT pour « Trail by Train Tour ». Le but ? Réduire l’impact négatif des grands événements sportifs sur la santé de la planète. Avec d’autres épreuves européennes, le MMTB va donc stimuler les déplacements en train en misant sur la proximité de son lieu de départ et de la gare internationale de Bruxelles-Midi (et de celle de Boistfort, à moins d’un kilomètre). L’objectif ? Plus de sérénité et moins de gaz carbonique !
Le MMTB, nommé en l’honneur d’une des plus anciennes (depuis 1308 !) traditions folkloriques bruxelloises, à savoir la plantation annuelle d’un arbre dans le centre-ville, est impatient de vous accueillir sous ses nouveaux auspices le samedi 2 septembre ! Bienvenue au cœur de l’Europe.

In 2023, the most popular nature race in Brussels will be renewed. New distances. New courses. They remain rolling but more attractive with a succession of beautiful “single tracks”. Three distances are on the program for trailers or walkers: 10km, 26km and 52km. Not forgetting the Run&Bike, in teams of two, over 32km, set up with a new navigation mode to avoid interference with the other courses.
Another innovation for 2023. The MMTB returns to its pre-pandemic formula by offering all participants a small post-race buffet (soup, bread, fruit, etc.), thus recreating the spirit of conviviality that counts almost as much as the effort in the success of the day.
Another novelty. This year, the MMTB integrates a brand new European tour, baptized with the initials TTT for “Trail by Train Tour”. The goal? To reduce the negative impact of major sporting events on the health of the planet. Nearly 80% of the carbon footprint of a trail-running event comes from the travel of the participants. Trail runners who are nature lovers, almost by definition, contribute to harm it when they travel long distances by car or, a fortiori, by plane. The new TTT circuit has been designed to remedy this incongruity. Along with other European events, the MMTB will encourage travel by train, taking advantage of the proximity of its starting point to the Bruxelles-Midi international train station (and the Boitsfort station, less than a kilometer away). The goal ? More serenity and less carbon dioxide!
Finally, the event is scheduled on Saturday morning, to facilitate the visit of the European capital and its many jewels: the Grand Place, the European Parliament, the Atomium, the Lion of Waterloo, the Africa Museum, etc.
The MMTB, named after one of the oldest (since 1308!) Brussels folk traditions, namely the annual planting of a tree in the city center, is looking forward to welcoming you under its new auspices on Saturday, September 2! Welcome to the heart of Europe.

On the day of the race, for 1 hour before the start of the race, at the Boitsfort Hippodrome (Chaussée de la Hulpe, 53 - 1180 Uccle).
