The Lavender Road Ultra Walking Tour—also known as the Asahikawa to Furano Ultra Walking—is a 65 km point-to-point endurance walk across central Hokkaido. Starting in Asahikawa, the route passes through Biei before finishing in Furano, following one of Hokkaido’s most scenic corridors. The fully paved, non-technical course shifts the challenge to pacing, stamina, and mental control. With a 13.5-hour time limit and staffed checkpoints, the event delivers a structured ultra-distance test without technical barriers. Participation is capped at 300 walkers, keeping the experience focused and well supported.

Stage 1: Asahikawa City – Urban Start (0–15km)
Start: JR Asahikawa Station (7:00 AM)
Begin in Hokkaido’s second-largest city, moving from city streets into rural areas.

Stage 4: Kamifurano Town – Mountain Vista & Midpoint (35–50km)
Cross into Kamifurano at the midpoint—gateway to the Tokachi mountain range.

Miyama Pass: Highest point on route
Second Aid Station: Café YAMAICHI at Miyama Pass (35–40km)
Stop for hearty curry, drinks, and a well-earned rest.

After Miyama Pass, brace for the toughest section—steep ups and downs, constant changes in elevation.
