Huanglong Extreme Endurance Race is a high-altitude trail running event set around the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site Huanglong Scenic Area in Songpan County, Sichuan. First held in 2018, the race routes connect iconic natural and cultural landmarks including the surreal travertine color pools of Huanglong, Qizanggou Valley, Xuebaoding—the 5,588 m main peak of the Minshan Mountains—Songzhou Ancient City, and sections of the historic Tea-Horse Ancient Road. Runners traverse spectacular landscapes of snow-capped mountains, waterfalls, forests, canyons, and traditional Tibetan and Qiang villages, experiencing both the natural wonders and the rich history of the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The event features multiple single-day race categories as well as a challenging high-altitude multi-day ultra race, offering an unforgettable endurance experience for runners of different levels.

How do I get to the race location?
[Recommendation] By High-Speed Train: Take the train from Chengdu成都 to Songpan Station松潘站, then use public transportation or a taxi to reach the Songpan Minzu Square松潘民族广场。 By Car: Use the navigation to search for “Songpan County Songzhou Square” or “Songpan Ancient City Wall.” The distance from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is 325 kilometers, with a driving time of approximately 5-6 hours.

Race entry is non-transferable and cannot be deferred. No refunds will be issued after May 2. Cancellations before May 2 are eligible for a 50% refund of the entry fee. No refund after since May 2

CNY 500 deposit required for Yaochi–Huanglong 50 km and multi-day races; refunded upon device return at finish.
