Hong Kong Five Peaks is a trail running experience that weaves through the heart of Hong Kong Island, linking its most iconic central peaks into one continuous loop.
The course follows a dynamic mix of hiking trails, steep mountain paths, the Hong Kong Trail, and sections of the Wilson Trail, guiding runners through the island’s rugged backbone. From exposed ridgelines to shaded forest climbs, the route showcases the raw contrast that defines Hong Kong’s trail running scene.
Encircling the central mountains of Hong Kong Island, the course offers 360-degree panoramic views—from the open sea of the Southern District to the iconic skyline of Victoria Harbour on both sides. Along the way, runners are rewarded with sweeping coastal vistas, urban-meets-nature landscapes, and constant elevation changes that challenge both body and focus.
More than a race, Hong Kong Five Peaks is an invitation to slow down in motion—to stay present, to move with intention, and to create lasting memories on the trails that define Hong Kong Island.
Course details
30 km trail
The most challenging and exciting five peaks route is suitable for experienced trail runners. If you’re looking for a race more than ordinary, this is tailor-made for you. Apart from completing the five peaks, there are some climbing and steep slopes involved. Are you ready for the challenge? You’ll be amazed!
21 km trail
This route offers a mixed flavour of terrain, from paths to rocky roads. Experienced trail runners will find it suitable for speed, while beginners should take up the challenge to enhance their trail abilities.

Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Distance Upgrade: Allowed no later than Tue 31 Mar, subject to payment of an administration fee of HK$100 per participant plus the price difference in entry fees between the price paid and the price at the time of request. Distance Downgrade: Allowed no later than Tue 31 Mar, subject to payment of an administration fee of HK$100 per participant without refund of the price difference in entry fees.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
No refunds are available. Registered participants may transfer their race entry to another person or change their race category. For any approved change of registration details, an administrative fee of RMB 100 per change will apply. All change requests must be submitted to the Organizing Committee on or before March 20, 2026. No changes will be accepted after this date.
Required equipment
Participants must carry the following items at all times during the race: * Bib number * Whistle * Mobile phone with calling capability * Water container with a minimum capacity of 500 ml * Food providing at least 200 calories * At least HKD 100 in cash

* Foldable cup (No disposable cups will be provided at the checkpoints) * Trekking poles * First Aid kit (adhesive strips, bandage roll, adhesive tape, alcohol swab, painkiller, etc.) * Anti-chafing cream * Sun glasses * Visor / Hat * Cooling arm sleeves * Calf sleeves * Gloves * Portable charger for mobile phone
