Join Kassel Marathon 2025
With nearly 10,000 participants and 70,000 spectators, the Kassel Marathon is a highlight in the running calendar. The race takes athletes through the vibrant federal city of Kassel, along the Fulda River, and past many iconic landmarks and sights. Marathon and half marathon runners, walkers, and hand bikers all join this unforgettable event.

Course details
The attractive marathon running route leads on two laps through the districts of Waldau, Bettenhausen, Forstfeld, Unterneustadt, Wesertor, Nord (Holland), Rothenditmold, Kirchditmold, Vorderer Westen, Mitte, Süd. The elevation gain in the marathon is approximately 250 meters.
Half Marathon
The attractive half marathon running route takes you on a loop through the districts of Waldau, Forstfeld, Bettenhausen, Unterneustadt, Wesertor, Nord (Holland), Rothenditmold, Kirchditmold, Vorderer Westen, Mitte, Süd. The elevation gain in the half marathon is approximately 125 meters.
Company Run
The route is 4.2 km long and runs through the Karlsaue State Park.
Mini-Marathon
The route is 4.219 km long and runs through the Karlsaue State Park. Unlike what is shown on the map, the children and young people run along the outer paths of the Hirschgraben and Küchengraben.
