The course leads athletes along historic trails, including a descent into the legendary Gamkaskloof (also known as Die Hel), and a climb across the famous Donkey Trail before reaching the finish at the scenic Groenfontein Retreat. The route features a mix of jeep tracks, technical single track, and swift-flowing trails, designed to test both endurance and skill. Participants are rewarded at the finish line with traditional Karoo hospitality, including offerings from local wine farms, food trucks, and a taste of authentic Klein Karoo culture.
