Really enjoyed the half marathon, fairly flat route with a few light undulations and bends to keep it interesting. Loved how you got to see the elite marathon runners pass a couple of times in the opposite direction. Great value, way cheaper than comparable UK events and included a shirt and kit bag as well as the medal. Lots of water stations including some put on by local businesses. The only improvement would be the bag drop as collection was disorganised and run by children who couldn't cope. Didn't help that we all had the same bag!
I managed third in my age category which was amazing! Even got a selfie with the elite runners who were relaxing with the general competitors |
