The Trail das Masseiras will start and finishing at the Aguçadoura football pitch. Runners can choose from three distances, each showcasing the distinctive landscape of the masseira fields (or masseiras), a hallmark of this trail.
Though the course is predominantly flat, the sandy stretches will test even the fittest athletes, demanding strong physical endurance. These challenging sections may prove decisive, creating notable gaps by the finish line.
Beyond competition, the event invites outdoor enthusiasts to experience a rare terrain often inaccessible in typical trail running. This blend of uniqueness and accessibility makes the Trail das Masseiras both inclusive and extraordinary.
Participants will also discover a centuries-old farming technique exclusive to this region. The masseiras—rectangular plots carved into coastal dunes—lower the cultivation area, shielding crops from harsh sea winds. Complemented by hedges along the ridges, this method reflects ingenious agricultural adaptation.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Registration will be considered personal and may only be transferred to another person if the organization is notified by August 24, 2025. After this date, no changes to the identity of the registration will be permitted. In all registrations made after August 24, the bib number will not be personalized with the participant's name. Once payment has been made, the registration is considered final, and there will be no claim for a refund if it is not possible to participate in the event. Other exceptional cases will be assessed by the organization.
