This ultimate trail running event is designed for runners and hikers seeking both challenge and scenery, with panoramic views of the South Downs, plus distant glimpses of the North Downs, Chichester Harbour, and even the Isle of Wight on a clear day. The expertly planned course guides participants through picturesque forest tracks, along the scenic edge of Levin Down, and over a memorable section of the famous South Downs Way. After an exhilarating downhill stretch into East Dean, there’s one final climb before you cross the finish line back at Goodwood. Runners will tackle a mix of terrain, including forest paths, bridleways, and exciting single-track trails—guaranteeing a varied and engaging run from start to finish. With three distances available, the South Downs Trail is perfect for runners and hikers of all abilities, whether you’re pursuing a new personal best or simply enjoying the stunning surroundings. All finishers receive a medal, a refreshing drink, and well-deserved finisher’s goodies.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
You will collect your running bib number on arrival at the event.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes, you can drop your distance. You can even do this on the day of the event. All you need to do is notify a member of our team before you set off or, if you do this at the course split, please make sure to let a member of our team know at the end of your run. Yes, you are more than welcome to upgrade your distance. Prices may vary depending on what you are switching to. You can do this on the day of the event.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees are non-refundable. Up to 2 weeks before the event you can transfer your entry to another runner. This will incur a £10charge (per person). Up to 10 days before the event you can transfer your entry to another event. This will incur a £10 charge (per person).
