The Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon is Egypt’s premier road race, offering an unforgettable opportunity to run alongside the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World—the Great Pyramid of Giza. Hosted by TriFactory, the event features 5K, 10K, and 21K distances, with both the 10K and half marathon officially certified by AIMS. The course winds through the historic Giza Plateau, passing ancient temples, the Great Sphinx, and the three iconic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The terrain is varied, with gentle inclines that challenge runners without overwhelming them. Open to all ages and abilities, the race offers awe-inspiring scenery. Course details
The race course is fully pedestrianised and is staffed by The TriFactory event organisers and volunteers. The 5K course is fairly flat, while the 10K and 21K courses feature several rolling hills and inclines, including the long decline down to the Sphinx and resulting incline on the way back up towards the Finish Line.

Each distance features a one-lap race course that is timed using the MyLaps Timing System, the same system deployed at major sports events across the world, including the Olympic Games and the Boston Marathon.
