The Ørestad Half Marathon is a professional road race combining city energy with the tranquility of nature.
Returning for its second edition, the event offers a fast, flat course starting and finishing at Naturcenter Amager, making it ideal for runners chasing personal bests. In celebration of the upcoming World Championships, additional race distances — One Mile, 5K, and 10K — allow participants to test their speed and fitness.
Designed to be one of the world’s fastest routes, this unique summer event delivers a seamless running experience for all levels.
Course details
Ørestad Half Marathon only has 5 turns >30 degrees compared to Copenhagen Half Marathon's 17. The runner has the opportunity for rhythm and flow the whole way.
Total elevation gain in meters is only 7 meters (Climate Data Agency) compared to Copenhagen Half Marathon's 32 meters. Probably the world's fastest route.
The routes are DAF/AIMS certified, meaning they have been measured and approved by Worlds Athletics.
Kalvedbod Fælled has been designated as a near-urban nature national park, and Ørestad Half Marathon is therefore the first race in a near-urban nature national park. Here you run among wild fallow deer, horses and a rich birdlife in the open expanses of nature.

Metro Station is 5 minutes near, and directly from Copenhagen Airport 10 min. by train/taxi.
