Frequently asked questions

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?

keyboard_arrow_down

Due to the use of funds for reservation deposits, course organizing and other logistics beforehand we cannot offer refunds for any reason after ~10 weeks (beginning of February) before the race event commences. Transfer of entry to a friend after payment is made is only allowed up to three weeks before race day and with Race Director’s written permission. Race Director has the final say on all matters.

How much is the full entry fee for the race?

keyboard_arrow_down

The full entry fee is USD 3,800, which includes a non-refundable deposit of USD 100 to secure your spot in the race. To participate, you must complete your payment by contacting the race organizer via email.

Is there a cutoff time for each stage?

keyboard_arrow_down

As long as you need. There are no cut-off times – it makes no sense in this type of multi-stage race. There are sweepers following up each stage offering support. It’s a running event, but you can also walk as much as you want or need.

Is the itinerary flexible? Can I meet you at the start?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, to a point. We’d love to have everybody together and move as a group for the good atmosphere that creates. However, this is a group of adventurous people who don’t always follow a crowd. At least one person will be mountain biking in Lower Mustang before joining at the start. Another will join us in Pokhara and hike out from Jomsom at the end. Let us know if you have a plan and we can see if we can accommodate it and price accordingly.

Are supporters/friends welcome?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes, it is possible if your supporter is fit and active.

Will I be collected from the airport?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes. Look out for someone holding this signboard in the crowd of taxi drivers as you exit. Exit outside to the left, it is less crowded, and look for the sign. The journey is about 15-20 minutes to central Kathmandu. No need to pay or tip the driver!

How will the course be marked?

keyboard_arrow_down

We will usually use bright orange ribbons, and occasionally a temporary, bright-orange chalk powder spray to mark junctions on the trail. We also give you a map and brief you on the route every day.
