Galgenberg Marathon
Join Galgenberg Marathon
This run is a marathon where you run in a group, led by a number of people who set the pace and of course also know the course.
The trail is hilly and is about 90% on forest paths and about 10% on paved roads. There is an average of 10 km per hour, uphill a bit slower, downhill a bit faster.
We walk in 4 groups, divided by speed, based on the estimated time that each participant specifies when registering. In this way, every runner can relax the course (it is not a competition), but still run a little bit adapted to his own pace.
The name Galgenberg is taken from a hill near Amerongen, where there was an execution place centuries ago, during the course we will stop and think about “our namesake”.
