Join TREK UCI Gravel World Series - Girona - Sea Otter Europe
The Trek UCI Gravel World Series Girona route covers 111km with 1890m of elevation gain, traversing the Les Gavarres Massif. Starting in Juià, Girona, the route includes challenging climbs, technical descents, and fast, flat sections. It concludes at the Municipal Pavilion of Girona-Fontajau amidst the Sea Otter Europe Girona Costa Brava festival.
Course details
Later, and around kilometer 46, a tough ascent begins to one of the highest points of Les Gavarres, Puig d’Arques (533m), with the subsequent somewhat technical descent given the irregular orography of the terrain. Once the descent is finished, constant up-downs of little slope and length along wide paths surrounded by leafy vegetation until reaching a very flat and fast part to impose a high pace and before facing the last climb of the day. Finally, the route will continue parallel to the course of the River Ter to reach the Municipal Pavilion of Girona-Fontajau, in the middle of the Sea Otter Europe Girona Costa Brava by Continental festival.

What licences are accepted?
Riders can take part in the Trek UCI Gravel World Series if they hold any of the following licenses: > No license, under conditions laid established by the organizer’s National Federation. - Some national federations require a day license which can be bought on-site. - Certain countries also require a medical certificate. > Amateur license > Master license > Cycling for All license > Elite license
Bike rules
Riders may use any type of bike (road bike, mountain bike, city bike, hybrid bike, cross bike, etc.) with the exception of tandem, E-Bikes or recumbent bikes. time trial road bikes are also forbidden. During the UCI Gravel World Championships, all bikes should have dropped handlebars. It’s not possible to participate in the UCI Gravel World Championships with a mountain bike.
