The Marathon CDMX (abbreviation of Ciudad de México) offers an unforgettable experience of running through some of the most iconic locations in Mexico City. The course of this marathon in Mexico is located at an elevation of over 2200 meters. It starts at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario and takes you near landmarks including the futuristic building of Soumaya Museum, the symbolic monument of the Angel of Independence, the postcard classic Palacio de Bellas Artes, to finish at Zócalo Capitalino one of the largest city squares in the world. The land of Aztecs and the home of the Mexico City marathon is simply bursting with culture and tourist attractions so make sure you reserve a lot of time for sightseeing after the race. Marathon CDMX is also a green event having earned the highest level - Evergreen certification of the Council for Responsible Sport.
Mexico City Telcel Marathon is among the most important running events in the world that have reached the Gold Label Road Race category. The competition will count on the participation of 30 thousand runners from more than 60 countries worldwide. This year the race will start in the Estadio Olimpico Universitario and will finish at the Zócalo. The International Mexico City Telcel Marathon (Maraton Internacional de la Ciudad de Mexico Telcel) is the largest athletic event of national importance.
